I do not like IE on my BJ2.

Is it Opera Mobile or Mini needed?
What version?

Is it straightforward to install directly from the device (not from he PC)? How?
Do I need to install/run other apps first, like unlocking apps or Java stuff?

Are there java permission issues on every web page?

You need Opera Mobile for smartphones... it's easy to install and you just download the .cab file from the opera site if you want (go to opera.com from IE). Don't know if you need to app unlock first, but everyone should really app unlock their BJ2 at some point (no reason not to). It's not java, so no java permission issues (plus, there is a java permission jack in 'thelostsoul' thread of tips). If you are industrious, you can find nice "trial" versions out there in the ether...
