please someone provide some insight on my situation. I have called at&t, who has directed me to samsung. called samsung, who directed me to at&t. viscious cycle.
have a blackjack II that is unlocked. it is at&t branded, unlocked to use on tmobile at one time. i am now using it on at&t, and have been unable to get the phone to pickup 3G signal. it reads either E (EDGE) or G (gprs?'). i have hard and soft reset, both providing no fix. checked internet and connection settings, all correct according to at&t. when i pop my SIM in my 8525, i get 3G. i would greatly appreciate any help given. |

Have you checked the devices network setting??? It may be forced to GPRS or edge. I can see you have already checked this but if you do a network scan it will reveal what the phone is seeing... There are to settings for network. One is the type of connection the other is the carrier. Which sim gets 3g in the 8525? Both!! or just one. Also delete the at&t IMS setting in connections. I dont think it will cause you any issues but it does halt the internet for some. Other thing is that the device may be defective...go to a store and test the sim in another blackjack II in the store. |

I believe your problem is in your Admin Settings. You can access this by entering *#1546792*# This will access Admin Settings, choose Network & Call Settings, then choose Network Mode. Make sure Auto is selected, that should do it. Also, you should do a soft boot before and after you try this fix. |
