Has anyone been able to use a card larger than 4GB in the BJ2 or is the absolute largest that can be used?

Thx

the BJ2 is actually SDHC compliant - so it'll support up to 32GB wink.gif

It will work on insertion, and for a while. But overtime, because it is not officially supported, you are risking damage to the card or corruption of data.

There have been mixed reports of this.

Some people put it in and it never works.
Some people put it in, and it works perfect, no problems there after.
While others put it in, it seems to be working, then they fill the card and find that everything disappeared.

Personally, I chose to go for the 4gb.

I've got an 8GB micro SDHC card, but my WMP 11 on XP is not recogizing the card as something it can sync with. I'd much rather sync than copy directly over to the card, as that adds the benefits of shuffling and adding automatic size limitations.

Anybody know how to get WMP 11 to recognize the card (I'm using an SDHC USB adapter so my XP machine recognizes it) so I can sync music to it?

Or perhaps an alternative to WMP 11 that might recognize it?

Thanks.

My 8gb sandisk SDHC card will sometimes disappear from WMP and other times folders will show up but files won't. A re-insertion of the card always fixes the problem. Anyone have this problem?

This is an expectable problem with incompatible cards.

One thing I can recommend is you don't use the encryption option in the settings, as this may cause more problems.

I remember seeing (either here or on blackjackusers.com) that users were formatting the 8gb card into TWO partitions of 4GB each. Apparently this works for some, and will allow your BJ2 and Windows to use all 8gb without any hacks or difficulties.

I have not tried this, but if you have a 8gb card you can try it. It won't hurt to try, and if it doesn't work then you can reformat it back to one 8gb partition.
