Do you download lots of files on your device?
Since I received notification of the new version of WinMobile Download Accelerator, i've been pondering the target market for the application. It's a very, very nicely done application with a very, very slick interface and excellent integration with the inbuild Pocket IE browser. Only since checking out the app however, have I realised exactly how much I DO download! About the application... QUOTE ![]()
wmDA v.2's powerful scheduler and smart management allow the user to start and stop downloading files at any predetermined time. A simple inbuilt switch enables wmDA to wake your mobile device up on scheduled download event. Users can easily organize downloads by their type, placing them in predefined folders of a selected group. Downloads can also be filtered by date, time, size and status. They can also be sorted. Once downloaded, the file can be verified with built in integrity check using a range of hash functions. There's very little that this program can't do when it comes to downloading, wmDA v.2 is a worthy addition to mobile user's software arsenal. It is fully integrated into the Pocket Internet Explorer by intercepting PIE's navigation events and redirect any download. WinMobile Download Accelerator will let you take advantage of a faster and more reliable download; optimize your download performance, and help you in recovering interrupted downloads. WinMobile Download Accelerator brings you to the next level of mobile Internet downloading. wmDA retails for $25 from the Adisasta home page and is one of a number of products in the Adisasta range, which also includes a WM Torrent client. I'm interested to hear your thoughts... is there a practical use for these applications at this time? Will we see this kind of requirement growing? I would use it if I could guarantee I had enough battery power to download and then subsequently use whatever it was I downloaded. However, when I might need a file at work it will help as anything with torrent in it is firewalled.
Im interested to know if they are or could become plus partners? Phill -------------------- www.watfordfc.com
