Hi - has anyone else had this - I find that CamerAware loses the GPS connection a lot more than othe programs e.g. Tomtom. For example on my route to work I think CamerAware loses the fix say 5 times over 22 miles, whereas with Tomtom I don't think I can remember the last time it had a problem.
It's a Vario III so I think the GPS is on COM4 @4800 baud - settings are the same in both programs. When I mean CamerAware loses the fix I'm referring to when the speed and direction displays revert to "-".

Any thoughts?

Jon

TomTom does lose GPS fix - happens to me a few times.

It's just that TomTom is programmed to handle this sort of thing i.e. knowing what to do next when there is no GPS fix.

Well from what I can see the tomtom screen goes to greyscale when the gps fix is lost. This doesn't happen on my route to work, whereas cameraware can lose the fix multiple times on this journey.
Maybe tomtom is programmed to wait a while before going grey and in that time the fix is re-acquired. It's not a biggie, just curious if anyone else had it.
