 Deleted Messages Notification and Menu Start Point

how can i configure whether or not i have to confirm the deletion of a message? since i don't like to keep a history, it gets tiring erasing them after a while.

also, is there any way to make the phone forget where in the menu i was last? for example, when i go into my messages, i want it to automatically go to my inbox regardless of whether i was in my sent box last time i was in this menu. thanks!
