Anyone else having problems witht the small LED in the earpiece?

Mine does not seem to be working at all.. is there a menu option to switch it on/off?

Could this be one of the bugs being fixed?
Thanks

Apparently that's not an LED, it's the auto backlight sensor mellow.gif
Missed calls and texts show as a snazzy swirly light around the action button biggrin.gif
Unfortunately, though it seems there's no flashing signal for "in service" or bluetooth on mad.gif
Cheers

Sorry but there is an LED.
You got the diamond already? Then look into the manual (as PDF on the CD).
Page 41:

1.11 LED Alerts
The buttons below the touch screen and the exterior edge of the
Navigation Control which is an LED ring will light up in the following
situations:
Controls Light Behavior
SEND button Light flashes when there is an incoming call.
END button Light stays solid when there is an incoming call.
Navigation Control The LED ring shows a “breathing” white light when the
battery is being charged.
The LED ring shows a solid white light when the battery is
fully charged.
The LED ring flashes a white light once when the battery
level is low and reaches down to about 10%.
The top and bottom parts of the LED ring flashes a white
light twice when there is a new e-mail, voice mail, or
meeting reminder.
A white light goes around the LED ring counterclockwise
twice starting from the top when there is a missed call or
new SMS or MMS message.

The LED ring, HOME, BACK, SEND, and END buttons will flash a white light
once when one of the buttons or Navigation Control is pressed.

Wait what? I'm almost CERTAIN that Gears at Coolsmartphone's Touch Diamond review model had a network/bluetooth/GPS/wifi notification in the earpeice. Just the one.

I could be wrong, and that WAS a pre production model, but still... try putting WiFi on and see what happened.
