 GPS Hack not working?

I just got a new blackjack II and installed the GPS Hack, Restarted my phone (Turned off and then on), Installed google maps, went into options and changed gps settings to COM4 and 19200 and when i goto turn it to GPS it pauses for a few and then gives me an error message saying GPS not on or something lol

What did i do wrong?

Well, you didnt use the search function... Basically you need to use GPStest to trigger the GPS and then fire up google once you have obtained a lock.... Try reading the "The Lost Souls thread of tips" for more info regarding GPS and the DO's and Dont's.....

Google Maps works fine for me without having to prime it with GPS Test.

If you haven't yet downloaded Chartcross GPS Test, or found the on-board Gpstest.exe hiding on the device, do one or the other; it will help to see if your gps is even running. Run the program - go outside and set it down for a while, leave it by a windowsil, etc. If you haven't got anything after ten or fifteen minutes, I'd uninstall the gps hack, restart, run the Gps Test program again and see what happens. After the hack(s) came out, and different shipments of BlackjackII's, I believe, it seems that some BJIIs need the gps hack, and some don't.

Google Maps worked for my phone and my wife's phone right out of the box.
