I would guess that the "Get More" can be removed pretty easily through some XML editing of that Homescreen. |

Opps...and, the Samsung Download site has a patch that will fix the calendar. http://www.samsung.com/us/support/download...II%20(SGH-i617)

What would be the best way of going in and editing the XML in the homescreen? Sync with your device, transfer that Homescreen's XML file to your PC (the XMLs are in: \Device\Application Data\Home). Make a back-up and stick it in a different folder. Open the file with Notepad (etc) and then look for something that says something like <--Carrier Plugin-->....below that you should also see "T-Mobile," "Get Some," and some formatting for the time and date. If it's as I visualize, there should be "Get More" somewhere between the lines for the time/date and the "T-Mobile" Carrier. I think all you should need to do is delete the "Get More" text (and "T-Mobile" if you don't want to see that, either). Save the file, but when doing this, take off the ".TXT" that will put itself at the end. So, you'll have NameofHomescreen.XML (no .TXT at the end!) Then, simply transfer that back to your device and reapply that Homescreen. Before doing this, though, switch to a different Homescreen on your device, then apply your newly changed Homescreen after you transfer it back to your phone. It shouldn't be hard, but if your concerned, don't do it - or, be sure you back up that file somewhere else before you edit it! If it comes down to it, we may be able to edit that XML for you... That's just the Samsung Calendar Homescreen, right? It doesn't like you have added any Homescreen plugins to your device?
Here's the whole XML code for the Samsung Calendar that's from my device. Paste it into a new Notepad file, name it "Samsung Calendar2.home.XML" and try it on your device even though the code looks about the same. Maybe it's a T-Mobile SIM thing? <?xml version="1.0"?> <home> <author>Samsung Electronics</author> <contacturl>http://www.samsung.com/</contacturl> <title lang="0x0409">Samsung Calendar2</title> <title lang="0x0809">Samsung Calendar2</title> <title lang="0x0c0a">Calendário Samsung2</title> <title lang="0x0416">Calendário Samsung2</title> <title lang="0x040C">Samsung - Calendrier2</title> <version>1.0</version> <default orientation="landscape" target-width="320" target-height="240" font-face="Segoe Condensed" font-size="19" font-weight="bold" padding-left="5" padding-right="5" bgcolor="transparent" fgcolor="COLOR_HOMETEXT" padding-top="1" b-border-color="COLOR_HOMERULE" b-border-width="0"> <format state="selected" fgcolor="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHTTEXT" /> </default> <background bgimage="Wave2.jpg" valign="top" bgcolor="COLOR_TRAYGRADLEFT" /> <scheme> <!-- Color of title bar and bottom menubars --> <color name="COLOR_TRAYGRADLEFT" value="#808080" /> <!-- Color 18 --> <!-- Color of Highlight on Home screen and Start screen... --> <color name="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHT" value="#7BA500"/> <!-- Color 78 --> <color name="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHTTEXT" value="#FFFFFF" /> <color name="COLOR_HOMETEXT" value="#FFFFFF"/> <color name="COLOR_WINDOW" value="#FFFFFF"/> <color name="COLOR_WINDOWTEXT" value="#000000"/> <!-- Cursor Highlight on the list, calendar, etc. --> <color name="COLOR_HIGHLIGHT" value="#7BA500"/> <!-- Color 78 --> <!-- Color of highlighted text... --> <color name="COLOR_HIGHLIGHTTEXT" value="#FFFFFF" /> <color name="COLOR_MENU" value="#FFFFFF"/> <!-- Text color of Menu by right soft key --> <color name="COLOR_MENUTEXT" value="#7BA500" /> <!-- Color 78 --> <!-- Color of unexecutable gray text on the menu list --> <color name="COLOR_GRAYTEXT" value="#BEC1C7"/> <!-- Can't notify any affectios of this color change... <color name="COLOR_HOMERULE" value="#000000"/> <color name="COLOR_TRAYGRADRIGHT" value="#000000" /> --> <!-- Not using in here.. <color name="COLOR_BTNFACE" value="#D0D0D0"/> <color name="COLOR_BTNTEXT" value="#00283D"/> <color name="COLOR_STATIC" value="#FFFFFF"/> <color name="COLOR_STATICTEXT" value="#000000"/> <color name="COLOR_TRAYTEXT" value="#FFFFFF"/> <color name="COLOR_WINDOWFRAME" value="#000000"/> <color name="COLOR_SCROLLBAR" value="#9AC7E4"/> <color name="COLOR_ALERTWINDOW" value="#C6E7FF"/> <color name="COLOR_ALERTTITLE" value="#00283D"/> <color name="COLOR_ALERTRULE" value="#000000"/> --> <!-- Colors of Gradations of Interval odd and even lines on background of several screens such as Start, Call History, etc. If this colors are changed, gradiated colored thin lines are displayed on the background... <color name="COLOR_GRADLEFT" value="#FFFFFF"/> <color name="COLOR_GRADRIGHT" value="#C6E7FF"/> <color name="COLOR_INTGRADLEFT" value="#FFFFFF"/> <color name="COLOR_INTGRADRIGHT" value="#C6E7FF"/> --> <!-- Color of Highlight on Dial parser screen. It is looking like a SIM card thing...My temporary solution was to change the font size to -3. It worked and this is what it looks like. But for a cleaner look, is it possible to take out the SIM information all together? Screenshot attatched.... BTW...THANKS FOR YOUR HELP MAN YOUR THE ISH!!! I tried deleting the entire line and the big ATT was replaced with a little one just above the time...who knows what it'll do with your T-Mobile setup?
