I've been seeing all this stuff about hacking flash into your phones and stuff to get YouTube videos to play in IE... how about this, instead?Lo and behold, every video on YouTube will magically play on your phone (via Windows Media Player)... smile.gif

No need to hack... no need to pay $ for Opera Mobile... just click, baby!

(yes, I know it kinda warps the bandwidth of the vids, but c'mon! ... C'MON!)

edit: oops, I dinna mean to rate my own post but it appears it won't let me undo it... sorry... but hell, it's a four-star solution to the problem, isn't it? happy.gif

The Mobile Youtube has been around for a while and has been widely discussed on MoDaCo. biggrin.gif

But it's good to hear your success story about using it with your phone.

Yeah, I guess I was being a little bit sarcastic when I posted that... It just seems a little scary to hack a phone when you really don't "need" to.

I didn't realize it limited the content... I did notice the bandwidth of the vids being significantly reduced, though...

I wish one of these apps, such as CorePlayer would actually let you login to your YouTube account.

I tend to save loads of stuff to favourites, and its then only when Im out and about I want to look at something amusing ive saved to faves.

That looks pretty cool, what with the actual .flv and all... but is the .NET Compact Framework v3.5 I have to install to use it going to do anything adverse to my phone? 33 Meg seems like a bit of a big download for phone stuff... unsure.gif

I've been using Veveo vTap Beta http://www.vtap.com/m.html

It kills two birds with one stone - Videoclips (incl. Youtube) and Wikipedia searches.

Click in the "Windows Mobile" link right above the second phone from the right. This will take you to the download page. On the seventh row down in the Download page there is a "Download" link for the "Blackjack from AT&T". It will download a vTap_sp.exe that you need to run from your PC while connected to the BJII.

Yeah... When I go to the "Windows Mobile" link, all the images are missing and when you click the link for the Blackjack II, I get taken to a Microsoft Search page with the "page not found" (which is odd)...

Anyhow, I just went to vtap.com on the phone browser and it downloaded like a charm... wild and wacky stuff... now, to see if it's worth ze hoot.

Much thanks, sir.
