 AppToDate Hang on HTC 6800

Hello. I just installed AppToDate today and the app is hanging on me. I can see it checking for updates and the percentages increment. Then the text goes away and the bottom bar shows "Download" and "Options" grayed out and the spinning hourglass just sits on the screen. At that point the application just sites there. I cannot kill AppToDate with SKTools or any other task killer and i have to reboot to get it out of memory. I am running Windows 6.1 on a HTC 6800. Any thoughts?
