Welcome to the forums smile.gif

Are you sure the card is correctly inserted and has been formatted?

If you have a memory card reader for your PC, you can use that to format the memory card otherwise there should be something on your moby like "Storage Tools" to format the memory card in your handset.

I have formatted the card in my laptop 2 times now and it still will not read the card. What kind of format should I use.

If you're formatting on your PC, use FAT.

The old card that would not work was a lexmark moble media 1GB Card. The new one that I got is a SanDisk 1GB Card.

Sandisk are the best to use, most cards are SD or SDHC complient but one or two other manufacturers have made card that are not, this results in cards that do not work on all devices.
