I need to sync outlook with a HTC Diamond WM 6.1 and my home PC with XP, and work PC with win2000.

WM 6.1 needs ActiveSync 4.5, but my work PC will only accept Activesync 4.2.

Is there any software or other (easy) way to keep all these in sync?

Thanks

What problems are you having when trying to install 4.5?

Your work's IT administrator might be blocking the software installation.

To be on the safe side, speak to them - you could be breaking the company's policy of installing unauthorised software on work's PC.

I thought that 4.5 was XP only. blush.gif

I'm sure that when I tried last year it gave a message to that effect. I tried again recently and there was some installation error - and then I recalled my attempts last year. I don't recall the exact message. The PC would only accept AS 4, 4.1 and 4.2 but not 4.5

I've just been googling and it seems that win2000 does support AS 4.5. So I'll have to do more investigation tomorrow.

I don't think the IT dept is blocking the install. And they have not caught up with me yet about the other stuff. lol

Sorted now.

Oddly, the IT dept had not bothered to install SP4, so I did that for them. Still no joy, but I narrowed the problem down to Windows Installer. I reinstalled that and hey presto!

I've installed other programs in the past, so it's strange how it only affected ActiveSync.

As a brucie bonus, SP4 mst have done something as the machine is a bit faster now in opening, closing and moving windows, and also it shuts down and hibernates much faster.

Thanks
