Hi,
If you want an AZERTY layout on the virtual samsung keyboard you have to modify the registry as below : [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\XT9\Sip\KdbFiles] "19FF"="Samsung_i900.Keyboard.Regional.Azerty.English.Landscape.kdb" "09FF"="Samsung_i900.Keyboard.Regional.Azerty.English.Portrait.kdb" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\XT9\Sip\LayoutFiles] "19FF"="Samsung_i900.Keyboard.French.Landscape.xml" "09FF"="Samsung_i900.Keyboard.French.Portrait.xml" Or you can import the attached file geek78

How can I get "scandinavia qwerty" (Ä and Ö letters)? it´s quite annoying to press SYM123 button and search there everytime It would be great if Samsung could get around to writing a proper manual so all of us in Scandinavia would understand how to use the keyboard. I began to try to hack the keyboard to get these characters to display based on the info above. I found that there are quite a few files already on board, including everything you need to turn your keyboard into a "German" qwertz keyboard. Not having the same resources on board labelled Swedish, I was going to base my hack on the German - but guess what, the German keyboard also lacked the ü, ä and ö keys! So how and why is the phone so popular there, even rave reviews on the full QWERTZ keyboard - well, it's in the XT9 system. Set your localization to Sweden in Settings-System settings-Regional settings. Then go to Settings-Personal-Input and set the language to Swedish on the Samsung keyboard. Now when you start to use the keyboard, NO you won't see the ä, ö or å keys, but when you want to type something with them use a or o and the XT9 will guess right in most instances. On rare occasions you will have to use the Add new function, but as you do so, the system learns. Another option if you're used to using your stylus, you can search for and install SkandinaviskTastatur5 which will let you change the WM6 (tiny) keyboard to Swedish, but the autocomplete function won't work with it. SO, most of us know that T9 works well in Swedish with the phonepad keyboard. Most of us didn't know up to now that XT9 works just as well with the full QWERTY keyboard, it's just that you use "regular" a and o to get it to select å, ä or ö. |

I don´t like to use XT9... I have SkandinaviskTastatur5, but I don´t like carry the stylus! (why isn´t samsung have "internalplace" to put the stylus) Maybe I have to wait skandikeyboard or Xperia...
