for the last few days i dont seem to get an audible noise to tell me i have a text, i have it selected and the phone will ring fine fine but no text alert mad.gif

This happened to me, but its only because i moved the sound file to the my storage.
You gone into sounds a selected the message tone again?

On a side note, ive noticed mp3's are selectable for sms tones, when did this happen?? I always remember needing to messaround with wav files!

cheers for the help but i found that turning of threaded sms had caused it sad.gif so im back to that again now.

strange mine works fine without threaded sms, have you tried Pauls cab he made?

i had the same problem.

you have to use the CAB file to turn off threaded and keep the sounds, if you do it with the registry editor you lose sound alerts. .
