 WMP Song switching lag after 6.1 update

So I love everything about the 6.1 except one thing. Using Windows Media Player, it now takes 5-10 seconds to switch from one song to the next on my Storage card playlist. It used to switch instantly before the upgrade. Because of this lag issue I don't use my phone for music anymore... Is anyone else seeing this problem? Any easy way to fix it?
