Hi all,

About two hours ago i discovered a blue/purple kind of spot on my screen, no solid shape or anything...just a blue/purple "stain"

Anybody know what this might be and how to solve it?

I guess those screen are very fragile and subject to small damages easily, I would even call them "faulty", since I saw a few reports with the same problems...
hope samsung will not make any difficulty to take back those devices.

I know it's not the same thing, but anybody notice that thing while touching the screen?
http://img508.imageshack.us/my.php?image=arrastamd7.jpg

It dissappears in about 2 seconds, but I don't know if its right or not!

I uploaded a video on youtube with the "problem":

Thanks

Have you been using the wifi/GPS for long periods?
I know the units can get warm under long use, wonder if it's related.

Zyxx the image in your link does not load and what is the youtube video supposed to be showing? unfortunately the quality does not quite show what you call "that thing while touching the screen?"

phillipxenciel it does sound like you have a dead pixel but this topic is slightly different.

Hum... It's working here, but I attached here to make it easier smile.gif
I don't know how to explain it, but its like a shadow where you touch the screen, also I find the center of the screen hard to detect my touchs and while typing messages it's annoying to press keys like "t", "y" harder! And often they repeat, I press once and it appears like I clicked twice!

I don't know if its a faulty screen or firmware problem (i'm using G4), but the shadow problem is for sure hardware related.

Any hints? I don't know if my screen is faulty, firmware bugged or I'm just a "perfectionist" biggrin.gif

Thanks!

^Are you using a screen protector? I have something similar, but it's not as bad as from what I can see from your picture, and it does not have the blue tint too.

Also, how hard are you pressing the screen? I think if you press it hard enough, it becomes more obvious especially without a protector, for me, it disappears almost immediately and you can barely see it on backgrounds other than white smile.gif

I'm not using screen protector and i'm not pressing so hard, but not so soft! If I don't press a lil bit hard I have problems scrolling ou getting it to "accept" the touch sad.gif

There you go... try using a screen protector. Seems slightly better if you use one and really cannot tolerate the shadow.
