What with all this broo-ha-ha about the Omnia not charging via USB, does it charge OK via a car charger?

Yes no problem with rom DXHI1

Just went out to the garage to check it for you as I just flashed HI1 yesterday. Looks good. \Settings\System\Power said it was charging.

It does. Sort of.
Its very slow, and even with powerful port it will take you ages to actually fully charge.
