I have spend hours trying to search the forums and the web without any success.

perhaps someone could tell me, if i were to flash the rom XXHI2 onto my omnia would i lose all my information and programs that are currently installed?

i am using DXHI1 for PDA right now and have read many good things about adding XXHI2 for the PHONE part of the rom.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

cheers

Everything installed to the "Device" partition will get erased. The firmware update, essentially overwrites everything there. If you have things installed to the "My Storage" (8gb or 16gb area) then they stay. Unless you do a hard reset- then i believe that is wiped too. Most of the time progz installed to the "My Storage" have trouble working after a firmware upgrade. So you might as well just re-install every pgorgram.

However, if you just flash the radio (phone) part....I'm not sure if that will erase anything.

hmm it will not. haha. the radio will not erase anything. and i recommend formatting my storage, it speeds up the phone from my point of view and removes possible problems later when reinstalling applications too.... a hard reset is always ideal after flashing biggrin.gif
