It is activated on my omnia by pressing and holding the down volume button on the side of the phone for about 3-4 seconds. After the light is switched on it will remain active for 20 seconds and then switch itself off.

It works as long as I activate the button whilst at the Samsung Home Screen 2 is on display

I've set it up, but never get to the Samsung Today screen as i've installed the SPBWatcher which automatically switches back to MobileShell today screen.

Any suggestions?

There is a setting under the flash light tab that lets you set the automatic shut off- 2 mins max though.

I'm with the OP. The shortcut key (volume down) doesn't work when using Mobile Shell, is there any other way to activate it programatically, or perhaps through a mortscript

I'm having the same problem.
I can't activate the flashlight while using the spb mobile shell and SPB watcher.

Any idea?
