Has anyone got any tips on speeding up certain games on the Gnuboy?

Most run like a dream, but Heroes of M+M, is running very slowly, i've tried playing around with the frame rate but it doest seem to make much difference.

Thanks

Shindig

No sound and try to free up as much ram as possible. You can do this by opening something like PocketMVP and playing a movie, then using Task Manager to kill it. You should end up wtih about 7 megs.

The other "weird" thing I've found, is that the speed it's running can change if you pause it by going to the menu and then resume your game.

But in general, it's probably that Heroes of M&M is just too slow currently and there is nothing that can be done. In the future faster SPVs or better code may help, but I currently have no plans to improve the gnuboy code cos I don't know enough about ARM Assembler.

Gnuboy is great! I love it! Not sure that we'll ever get all ROM's running full speed to be honest though?! sad.gif
