Won't work without port redirection if you're behind a router. Think i'll download it when i get home and have a play.

OK, got the demo working over GPRS (and through my router smile.gif), impressive, as long as you don't mind insane GPRS bills. Works well though, nice crisp., high qualiity images, all taking ~15-20 secs to load :/

Think i'll drop my res to 800x600 next time...

As has already been said, just make sure you already have an open GPRS session. Then punch in your ip address (assuming you have no firewalls/routers in between) and log in. Make sure you add a user on the server daemon first.

Keep getting 'Could not connect to server'. When I've entered my IP address, there's a number after it: blah blah blah :9140.

Is this something to do with it?

Are you running a firewall or sitting behind a router?

Do you have an open GPRS session before trying to connect?

Opened up a GPRS connection first, yeah. No firewall but I'm not sure what a router is... I'm using AOL until my broadband package arrives later this month....

I think I got it working for longer than 2 minutes or so, I changed in data connections, GPRS options the 'idle disconnect after' to 10 minutes, tried none but this cuts the GPRS off straight after you stop transfering any data. I managed to zoom in, open a folder, then a file and scope it and read the first paragraph before it displayed the demo sign. This should give you a desent trial of it.

i seem to have a prooblem with this when my pc is locked (i.e. when you use ctrl+alt+del and select 'lock computer')

i don't have any error messages but the screen is just blank - all the functions appear to working like zoom in and out as the little progress bar comes up after each click etc but the screen always remains blank

can anyone else verify that this happens for them when their pc is locked? i always leave it locked incase someone touches the keyboard/mouse while the monitor is switched off not realising that they have done something - i'd like to know i can still do this before buying

I have got this working across GPRS by increasing the timeout values. Everything works fine except that I also get the blank screen problem.

I run win XP and I have the server set to run at startup. So when the machine has booted up and is sitting on the welcome screen all I get is the black page.

If I (or someone else logs in for me) then this program works fine, until the screensaver kicks in.

Also if I am in the office, I connect to my machine at home using Terminal Services (built in to XP Pro), but the same again.

If I am logged in with TS then the machine at home only shows the Welcome page even though Windows is running underneath (same as the previous CTRL+ALT+DELETE problem) and I guess the program does not know what to send to the client on the phone.

I actually paid for this and I have emailed SoftAgency but apart from an acknowledgment nothing since.

In my opinion if you have Win 95, 98 or ME then this will work fine, if you use NT, 2000 or XP then you will get stuck.

I also paid for RemoteDesktop and I cannot connect since I first installed it. I connected and zoomed a few times and got cut off due to bad signal (i think) and ever since no connection. I set my phone internet idle to 10 minutes to keep my GRPS connection open and I am using the correct login info. I am using XP on my home pc. What are timeouts and how do I change them? Soft Agency has not been very helpful and no documentation is available. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
