Hard reset steps:

Press and hold record button then press power button until "press any key to enter bootloader" appears, then press and hold Action key about two seconds to enter Erase IPSM screen.

Select or press "8"

this is copy and pasted from a post by "virgil" i think it more refers to the amazing smart phone(?).
but i have just followed the steps on my e200 and it has reset it fine...

i always had problems on the press any key part.. but the tip about holding the "action key" for 2 seconds works great on my e200

Device(s): T-Mobile Vario II

There is also an App in Accessories called Clear Storage, this will return E200 to defaults. Its what I used when I returned my duff E200.

only doing the proper hard reset cleared everything off for me...when i tried to reset the phone doing it that way it still left some apps and games and all my contacts on the phone aswell.
