Hey, there's a guy on Ebay selling a FW update for the MPx200 that makes it tri-band. I kind of figured that the AT&T phone had it disabled via software. It's a Motorola FW update.

anyone have this?

If it's not freely available and released officially by Motorola I would be carefull. This may be a beta release and not stable etc.

Hello McHale,
There is only one generic firmware released by motorola for this phone so far in the US. This guy is ripping people off by selling them what you can get for free...if you are interested in the generic firmware which has the triband capabilities....go to

Motorola have been contacted about this ROM in the past but no not seem overly concerned about it, which is a sure fire way to upset network operators selling the phone with their own settings and apps etc.

As I said before I would not install any OS unless it was officially released or you are 100% sure on it's source and reliability.
