 Asssiging commands to buttons

I am looking for a simple application which has the option to assign to ANY button a command

I tried pqzII and VitoButton replacement as well as KeySwop

But in neither of them I found the way that I can assign (for example) to the symbol key (which I am not using) a new command...

does anyone know how?
