Got my htc 4350 a couple of weeks ago and i just love it but there is one thing that i havent been able to figure out and that is, when listening to music (with and without earphones) how to switch the screen off whitout the whole thing going into sleepmode (and stopping the music). I for one would find it weird if it wouldnt be possible to switch the screen off and still have the music playing. It would save alot of battery and preventing unwanted tappings on the screen. Anyone got any idea on how to fix this problem?

Many thanks

That is weird.. but maybe we have different firmwares or something like that. Who knows.. but until htc releases a firmware upgrade im gonna stick with "Screen switch" that Winti recommended.. it does the job and work good enough for me.

Map the "Toggle Screen" function to a hardware button (I have it mapped to the "Up" D-Pad key, and mute to "Down"). Control the volume with the headphone slider.

I believe this is the best solution--you can map a button to "Toggle Screen" in the windows media player properties. Here's one way to make this even better:

Rather than replacing the volume up and volume down function, you can HOLD the "Down" key when you are assigning it to "Toggle Screen". This way, you preserve the volume up and volume down functions of the keys.
