Au contraire, that's Start -> Settings -> Today -> Items -> Samsung Today 2.

I use Samsung Today 1 personally....

Right, I've got Samsung 1 running, but from the front screen the phonebook doesn't work
It just disappears, the phone doesn't hang just the icon goes and the X in the top right goes aswell.

Heres something that is bugging the hell out of me.

With samsung 1 or samsung 2, the error presents...

Click "email" and you get taken to your email. click ok and return back to the today page. click MMS messaging and you get taken to the messaging section, so all working fine...

click ok to return to the today page..

now click email again, and you get taken to the mms messaging section.

Once you have accessed mms messaging from the today page, both the email button and the mms button on the today page will take you to the mms location.

i.e the email button just takes you to the exact same place as the mms button.

After you have clicked email, if you manually select the email inbox, then you can come in and out of the email inbox as many times as you like by opening from the "email" button on the today screen. But as soon as you click the MMS button and get taken to the MMS area, the email button on the today screen reverts back to sending you to the MMS section again.

seems a problem with the shortcut to the email inbox on the email button in both samsung 1 and samsung 2 versions of the today screen.

After about two minutes of playing with the phone after posting the message above, I resolved my own issue. Well sort of.

I have found that the issue above only presents if you have more than one email set up (i had exchange set up and pop3 to my own home email, and also a blank orange email account). It appears that the phone cant decide which email account you want to access at the touch of a button, so dumps you to the MMS area instead.

deleted private pop3 email and orange email and all works well again.

Will try adding the pop 3 again and see what happens, although I dont think my ISP allows sending via pop3 unless you are connected using one of their IP addresses (so I wouldnt be able to send while roaming, just when connected via wi-fi at home, in which case Ill be usingthe laptop anyway, so rather pointless setting it up on the samsung).
