When I hard reset my phone am I putting all registry changes back to stock?

I am having the hardest time w/ Active Sync and getting my phone back to working condition.

If not... Is there somewhere I can download the stock registry for my phone?

A hard reset will restore your phone to its factory settings, this includes the registry.

Speaking of the registry does anybody know how to modify the profile settings in the registry? I modifyed the volume of the normal profile to have a higher volume but eveytime I switch to silent and switch back to normal I have to edit the registry again. I would like to permanently modify it.

If it has an ATT ROM on iit their branding will be in the ROM. It resets to the original ROM settings.
