Hi,
I stupidly hard formatted/cold boot my xphoneIIm just trying to save time on deleting all previous contacts insted of one by one. when it rebooted it had no settings for Australia and no o2 connect I am waiting on the Australian o2 service center to reply back to my HELP!!! emails. I then found this blog with O2DataConnectionKit.zip file and just tryed file anyway on my xphoneIIm any way even though they said it wouldent work. It installs fine through active sync. I got back my data connections telstra optus vodaphone ect:) (asia data connections) So now i can get back on net and also recive emails. But my o2 connect isnt working that was installed it says "o2 connect app is designed for o2 devices, which cant run on other devices" Can any one tell me what features come on o2 connects xphoneIIm version? Also do you think would i be able to just get the o2 connect installation files for xphone IIm from o2 or there service center/repairers? Insted of sending it phone away? Regards

I actually called the O2 service centre (callcentre location unknown), and was told in no uncertain terms that the only way to get the O2connect software reinstalled was to send it to some company in Brisbane and I'd get it back sometime in the future. Not terribly helpful.
I've been trying to find someone with another xphoneIIm whom I can get the app exe off. The frustrating thing is that the xphoneII has the software download available, and I would be very surprised if it weren't the same one. |

Not terribly helpful. I sent them an email more that 2 weeks ago for the same issue. No answer heard yet, seems bad service. Do not understand why they do not put o2 connect in a CD, will try to stay away from O2. This post has been edited by ddhytz: Jul 29 2006, 23:56 |
