I have an SPV E650 and a tom tom go 700, I am able to connect my phone to it ok and make voice calls but am not able to setup wireless data connection due to MS has removed DUN (dial up networking) from WM 6
So am now unable to use any tom tom plus services like traffic or weather. It seems what is replacing the old DUN is ICS (internet connection sharing) which is supposed to make things easier but tom tom at the moment does not support this. Anyone found a way yet to get the SPV E650 or HTC S710 to work with a tom tom go. This post has been edited by Radeon12345: Apr 29 2007, 00:09 |

In a nutshell, it can't be done atm
MS are supposed to be putting DUN back in a future WM6 AKU, but I wouldn't hold your breath P -------------------- Paul O'Brien - Microsoft MVP, Mobile Devices, MoDaCo.network Founder. Check out my Blog! £10 off a £20 spend at eXpansys - click for details |

Read that MS said they would put DUN back in on one of their blogs, but they also said it's up to the phone carrier if they include it or not

Yup, and now someone is confirming it doesn't work, having tested it...
I read your post at the time, but hadn't tested it myself, so didn't feel it would be appropriate to post what was just an assumption [that it wouldn't work]. Apologies. I'm just angry at Microsoft for taking more functionality away from us.
