I just upgraded from the BJ1 to the BJ2.

There are generous resources on the forums and net regarding how to hack the BJ1 registry to get the Outlook and Cache folders/data over to the SD memory expansion card. Such instruction is noticably absent on all forums for the BJ2 running WM6.

Is there an obvious supported work around for this now? Or an obvious reason why it can't be done? I read many queries asking how to do this but interestingly no replies, except for the usual armchair types who have never done it nor own the handset and offer advice based on other handsets and WM5 offering erroneous instructions.

I realize that there is substantially more internal memory on this model but the need to do this is obviously very much needed.

I also note some very helpful BJ2 mod web pages such as
http://www.missiondesign.net/yikes/index.c...nternet-Sharing
http://keithelder.net/blog/archive/2008/01...one-Review.aspx
http://blackjack2.info
http://www.myblackjack2.com
and others

All of these sites are suprisingly silent on how to do this and even the mention of why we can't.

Does anyone have any more clear information on this?

Thanks!

After seeing your question here, I added some content to blackjack2.info on the very subject:

http://blackjack2.info/node/383

I found places to change "My Documents", IE cache/cookies, and a few others.

As for Email locations, I'll dig a little further and let you know what I find.

Cheers,
Ian Douglas
