It could be just a vicious rumour, but our spies in the field are reporting that the country is about to be invaded by subtly-Orange branded HTC Diamonds and T-Mobile MDA Compact IV's this coming weekend!

Be vigilant people, and please do report any sightings here in this topic as quickly as possible.

Very good news! I just called Orange and spoke to them. They told me they expect the release date on the 7th July both online/phone/in shops.
I called TMO and they said, "we arent sure. we have no release date. check the website"

Soooo. that is all the info I could get. Anyone else know anything. Im eager to get my new phone.

Visited Orange Croydon this morning. Branch Manager was expecting delivery today but confirmed they haven't received any (They are one of the 'top' or 'preferred' shops). He says these preferred shops will receive some of the 400 initial units. He said next delivery is not until Wednesday (same for all shops).

What's more frustrating is that they're not willing to give me (a customer of 3 to 4 years) any better deal than a new customer gets.

That, the fact that they pointedly refused to replace a non-working handset for 2 months, the fact they didn't have a transparent or universally available cheap data package and the fact they are generally shan was what prompted me to go to TMob 2 years ago. never a problem since.

T-Mobile Croydon doesn't even know about the device. At least they are willing to discuss a deal when they get it in, so they have good customer service. Take note Orange!

Phoned t-mobile customer services today. They didn't have a clue what the diamond or the compact 4 was. She said it wasn't even on the system. A little wait yet, imo.

left Orange years ago for t-mob because of the poor CS and data plans and my only issues is how slow they are with new phones. hope it means it will have the latest ROM and thoroughly tested...

I wouldn't count on it wink.gif

Any offering from T will be just as buggy as anyone else's and full of their own bloat-ware...

Just spoke with Orange CS - they still have'nt got it showing on their system!! - they knew that the shops would have it but did'nt have any idea on prices/contracts etc through them - was told to request the email facility off the orange web-site to tell me when it's available!
