Here is my collection of HTC Service Manuals for HTC Devices
Service Manuals contain details on dismantling / disassembly as well as parts details and some testing info:

www.mikechannon.net or alternatively HTC Service Manuals

All files are now in unsplit, non-compressed PDF format.
HTC Service Manuals and Dismantling Guides

Currently Available:
Notes:
  • The following list indicates that either or both a Service Manual or Dismantling / Dissasembly guide exists
  • These phones come in many aliases depending on the distributor / telecom provider. For this reason the same Service Manual or Dismantling Guide may be listed against severl brands / model names. For example the HTC Hermes, TyTn, P4350 etc all refer to the same phone. Cosmetically, each "alias" will look a little different, but for dismantling purposes a single guide should be sufficient. In almost all cases the internal circuitry is identical despite slight differences in the casings of different brands of the same model. (However, some models do have distinct internal differences - the different model numbers of the HTC Advantage are an example of this.
  • Dismantling your phone will void your warranty

Hi Mike,

There seems to be a problem with the zip-files for the service manual on the HTC Vox.. at least I can't open them.

I've tried to unzip the files with different zip-utilities both on winxp and linux. The most comprehensive error message i've got was on linux: "zipfile claims to be last disk of multipart archive: bad zipfile offset (local header sig): 4"

Is this fixable for you? I want know if i can fix my woobly slider....its seems it gets looser every day.. irritating! mad.gif

thanks for the post anyway..! smile.gif

Hi

Mike

OK I've just tested and files are ok.
You have to download all four of the files (they are a split archive) to the same location - perhaps a folder on your desktop. When you have all four just tap on the one that has the .zip extension and extract that file. It will automatically find the other 3 it needs. If needs be download the latest free version of winzip or winrar.

Hope you get it - if not post again and I'll try to remember to drop by!

Mike

Not so far, but I bet there are some out there. The service manual has a set of dismantling pics - so meantime it's the best I have.

Anyone with links / additional files is welcome to let me know and we can add to the lists.

I have added a link to a Kaiser (Tilt) dismantling Guide. It was originally written for those wanting to tilt the screen a full 90 degrees to use on a car dashboard. BUT it is also a useful dismantling guide. See post one.
