Extended battery, 1500mAh..

I wouldn't really call 1500mAh vs 1440mAh 'Extended'

It's also available here: http://www.blueunplugged.com/p.aspx?p=136558 for £9.95 inc VAT.
Useful as a spare but as you say not exactly extended. At least it would likely be a standard fit, no need for a different back cover.

I contacted Lionbattery a while back about an extended battery for the Omnia, they said they are looking into it. Maybe if more people request it there will be a better chance of seeing an extended battery from them. It is desperately needed as I found out on Saturday, using GPS my Omnia only lasted about just over 2 hours before I got the low battery warning. Luckily I had bought a BJ II car charger from an at&t store that very morning so I didnt run out but 2 hours is pathetic. Address to visit is www.lionbattery.com.

If you look at some of the feedback of these batteries from different sellers the buyers say they don’t last very long.

Bought one of these batteries a while back now and they are no where near as good as the standard battery.
I just keep it as a spare now .
I would say it last about a 1/3 less than the standard one .

You probably find with these cheap Chinese batteries that in the cold weather they will run down very fast even if no used.

I bought one of these batteries as part of a complete accessory pack for the Omnia. While the value for money for the whole pack is not bad, the battery does not live up to the 1500mAh claim.

I would like to strongly discourage anyone interested in buying this battery since I could only get it to last about half of the time of the standard Samsung battery. I guess it's not even 1500mAh capacity but I don't want to call anyone a liar...

BTW, first post here. Thanks for the great forum Paul. I had been reading the Omnia section of MoDaCo for at least two weeks before I decided to get the phone and have been following the threads here ever since.
