 Backlight tweaking on s710, Is it possible to select the brightness?

I used to read at night on a nokia phone, using ReadManiac java application. It has (the ebook reader) a backlight intensity selector and i always used the dimmest one.

I will go BLIND using the HTC s710 Vox if i don't find something to change my backlight to something darker. Is this even possible on this phone?
