Hello,

today i went to a samsung servicepoint and updated to the german i900XGHI5.

Now I have a Problem with the Xtra-Download, for assisted GPS.
When I start downloading, the 4-Colour Windows-Circle appears an is loading. But ist does not end.
Before I updated the Firmware the Omnia downloaded the Xtra-Data in 1-2 seconds.
I tried via WiFi and GPRS neither works.

With other Programs I can connect to the Internet. So I guess it is not the connection which cause this problem.

I guess it is a Bug in the Firmware.

Has someone any idea how i can fix this problem.

Thanks in advance.

you really need to wait a little longer, longer than the screen time-out, i think it takes around 5 to 10 minutes, and yes, i think its a bug, i dont see the reason why it would take that long to download 37kb of data blink.gif

thank you for your quick answer.

so after the 5-10 minutes the xtra-data is downloaded?
where is this file saved?
how can i check after the 5-10minutes if the download was succesful?

Is this Problem also in other firmwares?

The download has always been very slow for me, both on firmware HH1 and HI1.

The file is called xtra.bin (about 37kb in size) and is stored in the root of the device memory. To test, you could just delete it and download again, you'll see the file is recreated.
