Hey guys

I'm new to my omnia but not windows mobile. I use my phone to listen to MP3's whilst on my motobike (rsv1000r Bol'Dor with Leo Vince SBK pipes, if anyones interested) and whilst my Touch Diamond did a nice LOUD job of this with my in-ear Senheisers, the Omnia seems to be really quiet when using them. If I switch back to the headphones supplied its much louder but these don't fit under my crash helmet. No, its not a volume setting, its fine with the supplied headphones.

Anyone any ideas why this isn't very loud? I don't know much about speakers but isn't there an impedence thing that can make them "less loud" for the same power or something? Does the omnia require special rated headphones?

If I can't do this, then the phone is next to useless and its back to the rubbish Diamond.

thanks mate, seems louder but won't know if its loud enough until work tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

I think we need to get an FAQ with links to this sort of stuff, lots of it keeps popping up over and over again.

indeed biggrin.gif

But there are other things like, the current firmware version (and link), default GPS settings, which navigation works and how .... and so on.

Could make an excellent FAQ and no need for lots of diferent stickies.

Thats interesting. I know that a few years ago here in the UK the volume that "walkmans" could put out and damage ears was questioned by many of the public, luckily it had no effect.

I guess this is like when DVD players came out and they were forced to have region locking but most put in "hack codes" to allow you to unlock them.

btw: The volume is MUCH better :-) Rode in today along the motorway and could easily hear the radio ..... so thanks again!
