 Do the ROM upgrades improve the Omnia's crappy video quality?

I guess im spoiled by my old LG viewty, but i am extremely dissapointed in the video capture quality of the omnia. The videos i have taken with it are pixelatted, choppy, blurry and have frame skipping.

Has anyone noticed a improvement in the video quality after upgrading to a newer ROM version?

Maybe someone can find a tweak to increase the fps up to 30? I have looked around in the registry but I do not kow what I am looking for.
