 OMNIA: Business Card Reader / OCR

Hiya

Does anyone know where to get the Business Card Reader program? The Dutch ROM doesn't seem to have this nice little cam program.

So a CAB file would be appreciated or maybe the extracted (needed) files so I can build a CAB from it?!? Anyone wants to share it? Thanks in advance!

For anyone missing the "Card Reader" (OCR) program... Well I took the files from the latest DTHJ5 rom so by opening this CAB file it should install the needed files into your Windows folder and create a shortcut into your programs.

So in case you have the Dutch rom (like I did) you will not have it by default.

I didn't test the standalone app still cause I have the original DTHJ5 (English) rom running so feedback would be nice wink.gif

May I know how to get this from the ROM?
Bcoz I'd like to have Chinese characters support as that in Singapore/Hong Kong ROM.

Well It just might pick up the OS langauge in the OCR program but I'm not sure...

Well I didn't get it straight from the ROM file itself but after 'installing' the ROM I just grabbed it from inside the Windows folder and the shortcut I got from the programs (startmenu).

Well since this is the DT=AU (Australia) release ROM it has English as recognizable language in the OCR program and you can't change it in the settings. If anyone has the Singapore/Hong Kong files I can make a new CAB for it and take a look how it's setup.

How about this file? I enabled the option: "self registering".

If it still doesn't work u could try "Paul's must have FREE i900 Omnia software" sticky and try the Remove software installation warning - RemoveSecurity.CAB

i can't install this cab file but i havn't any warnings about signed etc. when instalation is proceed but i have only information something like the " installation of cardreader.cab is failed"

i have polish rom sahj1

ok so it doesn't pick the OS language so then you'll need to use an English OS version. Anyone got it working with this CAB file?

but why this cab file is not installed on polish rom ? i change language to english but is don't give any effects, i havn't install english rom becouse this language is tongue.gif:P
