Only install software you really need to use smile.gif Your choice is really down to how you use the phone.

Mobile Shell is not really needed on the Diamond, unless you really want to dump Touchflo 3D (which can't co-exist with any other Today plug-ins); is there any must-have feature in Mobile Shell that you realy want?

No. Just got the phone so I like to know an easy way of using it... ohmy.gif because so many suggestion for add on on the XDA forum. This one is easier to follow for rookie smile.gif

In that case, I'd simply say get to use it as it is; find out what you like or dislike over a couple of weeks and then decide if extra software may help the dislikes.

The Diamond is an excellent phone 'out of the box'- probably the best I've had in overall terms in 8 years of PocketPC use. The only really mandatory update is to ensure it has a new version of the OS and Radio ROMs

Look in Start/Settings/System/Device Information: Radio ROM ought to be 1.00.25.05 or higher and ROM should be 1.93.00; lower versions have issues with stability, battery life and speed.

I agree with Neil5459. I've updated my firmware just to get rid of the T-Mobile slow yucky stuff. I'd recommend the SwiftBL or stock HTC firmware if you want your phone to continue looking and working like the T-Mobile branded phone.

My friend, why use all of that when you have TouchFlo User interface that the device comes with?Using the Mobile shell will only make your Diamond look like Windows Mobile 5 and the like AKA Old Model biggrin.gif
