One of the best rom in my opinion (HI1 > HI2 > HI3 > HJ1). |

i upgraded yesterday and posted here too..lol
someone deleted my post anyways i updated and i find not too many differences. the messaging app is a lil faster thats it. HI3 had the worst network related issues ever i hope its sorted out in j1 besides this is a transitional phase after which we all will get to use cooked roms soon so this is not here to stay! I also updated yesterday.
Everything is working fine. I didn't find any new feature yet, but the screen sensitivity is better (had HH1 before). Also it feels a little bit faster. ClearType is still enabled after soft reset As far as I could test the internal GPS is also the same as before. No improvments here. My main problem was to get it work again with activesync...but I guess that's not because of the phone it's because of the buggy activesync software |

I am having srolling problems in mail with this rom. It appears to select and highlight the text rather than scroll which it does intermittently. Usually just from top to bottom at lightning speed.
Anyone else see this ? I am going to flash again and see if it disappears as well as test on my other Omnia. If it persists back to DXHI3 which I had no problems with Stu This post has been edited by broughs: Oct 15 2008, 08:27 |

I am having problems updating... I have downloaded DXHJ1.exe from the rom research thread, and grand prix, but how do i load the i900DXHJ1.exe into grandprix? What do i do from here? You dont need grand prix. Firstly turn off all your Antivirus or Firewall software 1. Install activsync in your xp pc 2. Connect first time the Omnia to your pc (to be recognized by the pc for the first time and to install pda driver) 3. Disconnect the usb cable from your Omnia 4. Install modem driver Samsung for XP in your pc 5. Run the DXHJ1.exe (message: waitng for device) 6. Reconnect your Omnia with the usb cable 7. Soft reset your Omnia (with your stylus. [Right upside]) 8. Once is recognized, clix START in your DXHJ1.exe program 9. Dont touch anything.....and prey 10. Once message= JOB DONE, you can deal with your Omnia This post has been edited by jclsm: Oct 15 2008, 09:09 |

Hi Guys,
I really like this rom, is is quite speedy and I think that they heat issue seems to be a lot better. Samsung seem to be getting the inner workings of the phone finally sorted out - particularly with the screen sensitivity. They seem to have added (or maybe I didn't notice them before) some registry keys which you can adjust the screen sensitivity (they appeared in HI3) - you can find them under HKLM\System\GWES\cxHScr (and cyHScr, cxVScr, cyVScr and cyThMin) They have played with the settings between HJ1 - but you can try and optimise them if your keen. Hopefully, samsung fill try and fix the software promblems with touchplayer next!! Michael. |

Make sure you disable your antivirus & firewall, else it will mess up with your COM ports.
If a new device window popped up, click Install automatically and wait for the installation to finish. Anyway, you should be able to close & reopen the updater, soft-reset the device and try again. EDIT: Oh, and double check you installed the samsung modem driver. This post has been edited by Yunabeco: Oct 15 2008, 09:38 -------------------- Samsung i900 OMNIA
