Look for anything, even in the folders (possibly 2577 if that's a folder) and execute anything.

For Garmin, if I didn't have the shortcut, I could just execute /storage card/garmin/app/WM/QueSP.exe and it'll run Garmin. I'd imagine TomTom has something similar aside from a launcher.

Tom Tom does install a shortcut to your Storage card as well as place one in the Start Menu....You can run the application from either. The problem is that while Tom Tom does install it's not supported by the phone and navigating the menu's can be a nightmare. Even if you do manage some menu navigation you will not be able to enter any text into the boxes for adresses or street names. 6.075 is only supported for PPC not Smartphone. I know this because I have this version for my AT&T 8525 along with all the maps for my country and an external bluetooth GPS reciever. Tom Tom wont let you select the com port either. I completely abandoned it!! I was trying to use the SPhelper .cab (cursor software) but it was cumbersome and totally unreliable on the BJII....Forget it. It doesnt work. Garmin is the go for the Blackjack II. I am happy with it even though I have been a Tom Tom user since my Nokia N70 days. Loved it but have moved on. If Tom Tom 7 is compatible with my BJII I'll look into it but for now I have a working solution in Garmin.

Basically there is only one Garmin solution for the smartphone. It's listed on their website. Garmin Mobile XT.....The SD card package is what you would want.

I was wondering what the map coverage for Canada is, unlike Tom Tom they do not have it on their site.

Many thanks,

L

tomtom 5 had a smartphone client. However, TomTom 6 is PPC only (touchscreen).
I installed TT6 and played with virtual cursors to emulate this but could not get it to work.
Switched to Garmin Mobile XT and it works OK for me.
