Hello

Had my omnia a few days now and think its a great device so far. a few frustrations getting used to certain things but with a little persistence im getting the hang of it.

However, i cant assign photos to contacts. ive followed the manual to a tee... its pretty simple. when i edit the contacts i only have the option to change the name and phone number! i cant assign a different ringtone either.

cheers for any help!

Open up Phone Book in Main Menu, open your contact, then tap Open Contacts, bottom left. Click the second bottom tab, Notes. Then tap Edit. Ringtones, Pictures etc all there.

Hi fisheradam

Thanks for your response but im still having problems - I seem to get different options.

When i click 'open contacts' I only get the option for "Call" or "Menu".. in menu i get "video call, edit, view all calls, save to contacts, send as vcard, sent text message, send contact, delete sim contact, add to speed dial".. when i click EDIT i just get "Name" and "Number"....

when i read the online manual it says when i click edit i can change the pic and ringtone. normally these things are very obvious and every thing seems fine but the missing options. is it possible that its an old software version or something? im on contract wiv vodafone and am very happy with the phone overall.

I think you have to save the contact as an outlook contact and not as a sim contact, by doing that I was able to assign photos. However when someone rings the picture is very small and I dont know how to make it take up more of the screen.

Sheffield_Rob has it spot on, it does have to be a contact stored in the phone and not on the sim card.
