 Port Create Retry (Download failed) DXHI2, phone black screen, power led red. Help needed. Thank you

Hi,

Would really thank you guys if you can help me with the problem I'm facing with my omnia. I download DXHI2 from ROM download links, naming scheme + 'Incorrect Software Version' fix

Then I connect my phone and follow the instructions shown on the updater. Everything was fine until it shows,

Port Create retry (25)
Port Create retry (24)
Port Create retry (23)
Port Create retry (22)
Port Create retry (21)
Port Create retry (20)
Port Create retry ...
Then it's stated as download failed. Or something similar.

Now, my phone doesn't start. Appear black screen and power shows red led. I try connecting my phone to my pc and my pc couldn't detect it at all, needless to say get connected to active sync nor to get my phone flashed again.

Previously, I've download many roms and updated my phones. Everything went well. Only this time round. I've google about it and can't find a solution to it.

Can any people lend me your helping hand and solve the problem for me? At least the power is still led red. There should be hope to get it back to normal? Please please... Help me...

I have problem downloading files from rapidshare. The worst thing is when i manage to get to the download link page, it states the file doesn't exist. Any other ways to download the file? @.@

Do you have the XP modem drivers installed? If you have check if XP recognize the omnia when the update switch to phone mode. You can check this in "device manager"

i had the same issue (even though the XP modem drivers where installed).
when i took it to the service centre, they told me the motherboard is basically fried.
luckily, i was able to B.S that its the official update that screwed the device; so, the warranty was not void ;-)

I got the same when I did mine. Close the patcher, restart it, reset the phone and then it went through. For me...

What the problem was with my system was that Windows would recognize the machine and started installing the modem driver - but this was too slow for the pather and it timed out before windows finished. The second time it did all work, as the driver was already installed but not active.
