Hello everyone,
I installed iGO in my Omnia and when I want to run it there is an error message which says: "failed to open loading.bmp". Moreover, when I want to uninstal it it doesn't appear in the list of removable program in settings. Thank you for your help ! |

Hello everyone, I installed iGO in my Omnia and when I want to run it there is an error message which says: "failed to open loading.bmp". Moreover, when I want to uninstal it it doesn't appear in the list of removable program in settings. Thank you for your help ! To uninstall, there is a shortcut in the Programs list called Uninstall Nav'n'Go - that's how you uninstall. The loading.bmp file is in the data.zip and the branding.zip (both within ui_igo8/400_240), so it sounds like you are missing that file. Unzip each of the branding and data and have a look. because you don't have the lastest igo8, get lastest igo8, it will 100% work, if you can't get it, just tun the omina to landscape before opening the program

Thank you, it works ! Too bad I have to turn it to landscape. Hi, Put this settings above in your sys.txt file (inside \Program Files\IGO8\) and you dont need anymore to rotate screen vbefore run igo. [interface] skin="ui_igo8" resolution_dir="400_240" maxzoom2d=6000000 show_exit=1 vga=0 [rawdisplay] screen_x=400 screen_y=240 class="landscape" |

[interface] skin="ui_igo8" resolution_dir="400_240" maxzoom2d=6000000 show_exit=1 vga=0 [rawdisplay] screen_x=400 screen_y=240 class="landscape" I just tried this and it still doesn't work.. Seems that igo is search for a "240_400" folder instead... I don't understand why though, because I have nothing in my config that would indicate a 240_400 instead of 400_240. If it was rotating the screen to 400_240 instead of 240_400, then I think it would work. Anyone got any clues as to where I am going wrong? Before I changed the settings it was defaulting to 320x240, half working but was out of alignment when I clicked buttons. Edit: I forgot to mention that I made a file called 240_400 and stuck it in the data.zip, but that just caused it to go across off screen... More info: This is my sys.txt [interface] skin="ui_igo8" resolution_dir="400_240" Maxzoom2d=6000000 Show_exit=1 vga=0 [rawdisplay] Screen_x=400 Screen_y=240 class="landscape" [debug] skip_eula=1 enable_roadshadow=1 [map] auto_nightmode=0 [msnd] msnd.start=0 This post has been edited by Anom2685: Oct 17 2008, 09:52 |

I think there's a problem your data.zip and branded.zip files. I think that you need to look for new files data and branded (240_400 is portrait and 400_240 is landscape) This post has been edited by jclsm: Oct 17 2008, 09:53 |

I think there's a problem your data.zip and branded.zip files. I think that you need to look for new files data and branded (240_400 is portrait and 400_240 is landscape) Agreed, you must have the correct resolution folders within ui_igo8, which is in data.zip (the latest version of iGO8 has the correct data.zip for the Omnia). Does this mean IGO8 only runs in landscape? iGO8 will run in Portrait or Landscape, but this is dependant on: 1) how your sys.txt file is laid out 2) if you have the 240_400 and 400_240 folders within Data.zip Also, whatever orientation the phone is in when you start iGO8, the program will stay in that orientation. The screen will attempt to rotate (if auto-rotate is enabled in the Omnia settings) but the GUI stays the same. Hope this helps DF This post has been edited by datafanatic: Oct 17 2008, 13:42 |

Got it working now but looking for POI's now but it seems that they are not compatible with Igo OK. I have just been in contact with a igo8 retailer, Unbelievable Ltd, who advised me to install updates from igo website by connecting my SD card direct to my computer with card reader Then to update using content manager on Igo8 disc or web download. Worked first time. I think this is there way of keeping copyprotection in place. So try and update your fileshare copies at your own risk. Grasspatch |
