Now that we have a base ROM to work with, I invite folks to talk about here... Several of you have already starting discussing it in some of the other threads.

WM 6.5 would definately be cool. Sector has a thread on here about one for the I900 and he said that if I provided him a ROM he should be able to adapt it to the I910 so I sent him the new ROM
.Net 3.5
Live Search
Google Maps
The new version of messenger that can be found on mobile.microsoft.com
Built in registry setting so the external GPS setting show up without having to hack it?
Maybe a couple random games that are better than rolling a dice? Those arent important
Is it possible to automagically integrate Mobile Shell?

I think just a base ROM would be great. No bloatware, no added BS, just a base ROM that we can start from would be nice.

yeah like advanced config 3.3 pre-loaded or s2u2 or something. Plus if someone can figure out a way to make widgets (like a shortcut to a program widget)

We can use FEWidgets (on xda) which looks like TouchWiz probably, if someone really wanted to have that. All of the i900 rom files and processes work good. I already made a M2D rom, but it's still buggy.

I just made a Lite rom that I am planning to test when I get home. With my M2D rom, after removing a few things, I had ~68 megs of storage left.

68 megs left?!  Dude, keep up the good work.  I'm following this closely!  i'm psyched!  Any suggestions on what to begin reading to learn about cooking?  I also have an old junker treo 700wx that could be my ginea pig lol.

Actually, since all I am doing is flashing the PDA(os) part of the phone, not the bootloader, I don't really have to worry about screwing it up. I am setting up a modified kitchen right now. All you should need is the beta img. The kitchen alone is about 100 megs with SztupY's automated part, about 15 if you want to remove stuff manually.

I used parts of this guide to get where I am now.

I can probably give you some help through IM tomorrow or the weekend if you want. You should download SYOK and SYAKR (RC1). You then have to get the .nb0 file out with osnbtools, and rename to PDA.bin. Then run ExtractROM_Bin, and it should do the work for you. I can throw together a quick guide later, and find a place to host everything.

Don't know if this is doable or not, but I would love to figure out how to remove that stupid zoom feature in messaging - you know, tapping the screen and the yellow zoom arrows pop-up. That is really annoying.... Would love to remove that. From what I have researched, the i900 does not have this "feature"...

Thanks!

It could be 'zoomer'. I will get rid of it in my next test rom, and check to see if the zoom still happens with sms messages.

Edit: I have a new rom waiting at home to be flashed. I will let you know later today.

A good turn by turn voice navigation type software would be amazing to put in if you could... i know that takes up a lot of space though. +1 for winmo 6.5

Yeah, I'm gonna take a shot at 6.5 this weekend, it seems like it's gonna be a pain in the ass.

As for voice nav software, I'm not going to include illegal software in the rom, so if you know of free voice nav software I can include that in.

I will be flashing my ridiculously lite rom in about an hour, I'll let you know how that goes.

I have to do some testing, I get a 'Time Wizard' and 'Download agent' error at start up, but I have ~97 megs free after a hard reset.
