Hi. Anyone knows how to setup the Omnia to be used as a bluetooth modem by my laptop to connect to the internet via 3G/GPRS? I have tried WMWifiRouter but it's very buggy.

I tried that already, it didn't worked. I have read that there's a limitation with bluetooth pairing windows mobile 6 (OS of omnia) with XP (OS of my laptop) using it as a laptop modem. For some reasons, microsoft has removed dial up networking (DUN) starting wm6, a key component to make this work. Anyone has a solution for this?

I've enabled internet sharing. For USB it does work, but Bluetooth Personal Area Network doesn't show up in my laptop. From what I read, it's only available in Vista or Winxp SP2 supported bluetooth devices. I'm using the built in HP Integrated Bluetooth , my laptop is HP-Compaq Nx6120, 2005 model.

If bluetooth PAN isn't viable for this setup, what other option do I have?

Please help.

Thanks.

1. Activate on OMNIA:

Start>program>internet sharing>pc Connection>bluetooth pan

2. Activate on Notebook: (XP)

Taskbar (below extreme right), right click bluetooth icon and do this

Join a Personal Area Network

or (in case of that doesnt exist)

Quick Connect to> Network Access > <Your device or other device>

Then you see on Omnia you are connected. Thats it
