 Does installing CamerAware also install an AppToDate link?

I just installed CamerAware2 on my Touch Pro and now there seems to be an AppToDate link in my Programs folder, what gives?

I'm pretty sure it wasnt there before. Also the link points to an odd URL:

http://donald.modaco.com/apptodate/get
