Yeah 'tis a nice phone. Are those Chinese characters on the keys? I thought the Chinese alphabet had more characters than however many there are there.

Still think I prefer my SPV E100 though. What's the directional pad like on these 8380s? I think I prefered the one on the SPV to the joystick on the E100.

The directional pad on the 8380 is much more responsive, and requires less tedious work, than the one on the SPV, plus the Action button on the 8380 is bigger and easier to press.

I think Im going for a Mitac, asuming that it will be upgradeable to SP2003 and able to run 3rd party software that is ...

That's good to know. I definately prefer these button systems to the joysticks. The one on the new Motorola Smartphone looks pretty similar, which is nice.
