First  post  in  this  forum,  so  mods;  bare  with  me  :-)

Im  in  need  of  accessing  the  command  prompt  and  I  need  to  know  how.

There  are  billion  different  versions  posted  on  the  web,  maybe  here  I  can  get  this  straight.

Am  using  a  non-branded  htc  advantage  7510  and  a  7500,  7510  has  wm  6.1  and  the  7500  wm6.0  (swedish  version  if  that  matters)

Could  anyone  please  be  so  kind  and  inform  me  how  I  can  achieve  accessing  a  cmdprmpt...  please?

Sorryfor  grammar/language-mistakes,  its  late  and  im  posting  this  using  the  osk  on  my  htc7510  ;-)

I don't think windows mobile acutually supports a command prompt as it isn't based on dos..

what is it that you are actually trying to do, there may be other ways to do it.

Whilst there is no Command Prompt on WinMo devices, there is a hidden 'Run' command if that's any use to you?

Hold down the 'Action' button (push down the joystick on the 7500; unfortunately no way to do this on the 7510!) and while holding, tap/hold the clock in the taskbar for 2 seconds then release.

This opens a menu with 'Run' and 'Clock'; the Run command can open apps or files.
